The very basics of keeping ballot content secret and private

To ensure that a voter’s ballot cannot be read by anyone else while it is being transmitted from the voter’s device to the digital ballot box, it is turned into an unreadable code using encryption.

Encryption  is the key to ensuring the privacy of a voter’s choices. If a ballot is encrypted properly, no one will be able to read its contents, even if it is maliciously intercepted during transmission. To ensure the highest levels of security, a specific approach, called end-to-end  encryption, is recommended in online voting systems.
